tim los task 4 using modern techniques produce a set of experimental test images using at least 3 different processes that you have looked at in class. (also covers second part of assignment)

this is the first zoom burst i did, i wasn't sure how it would
go but it turned out okay! i became more creative the more i did!
fire alarm zoom burst!

this is taken out of the window at college, just getting used to
using the camera and experimenting.

i like this picture, its one of my favorites that i took today.
i like how the lights have blurred.

when i took this picture instead of zooming in or out
i turned the camera around as i was taking the picture!
i happy with the result and i think it looks really good!

i couldn't get the light exposure right when blurring the
 pictures so they haven't turned out great, but next
time i'll no what to change!

the same goes for this photograph, even though i do like it darker.

this is another of my favourites, i love how its turned out! i like
the light strips and the blurring.

once again another one of my favourites

task one followed on 'in camera effects'

this is called motion blur effect;
i like this effect because its done simply and its easy to
do yourself. you do this by zooming in or out at the same
time as taking the picture, on a longer exposure time.

task 1 assignment - tom - artist research - documentary photography

Jim Goldberg is best known for his photography books, video installations
and multi media exhibits. Goldberg photographs a lot of sub cultures,
and creating photo collages. In 1985 Goldbergs book 'Rich and Poor' was
published, the book is full of photographs of people in their homes along
with their handwritten comments made by the subject giving the reader an
insight to their lives.

slow shutter speed research!

'In photography, shutter speed is a common term used to discuss exposure time,
the effective length of time a camera's shutter is open. The total exposure is
proportional
to this exposure time, or duration of light reaching the film or image sensor.' *
i think when you use a slow shutter speed you can get photo's that look
magical, because by leaving the shutter open for longer it allows the
camera to take in more light and you end up with pictures that a filled
with what seems like the light moving and dancing around the photograph.
